The Dukes of Hazzard aired on the CBS television networkfrom1979 to1985 The General Lee is the modified Dodge Charger driven by the Duke cousins Bo and Luke in the television seriesThe Dukes of Hazzard. It is known for the chases and stunts, especially high jumps, in almost every episode, the car appears in every episode but one. About 321 Dodge Chargers were used in theseries. Approximately seventeen still exist in various states of repair. On average, more than one General Lee was used up per show. The car's name is a reference to the Confederate General Robert E. Lee, the car also has the horn which plays the melody from the first line of the song"Dixie". as per the TV series.

440cubic inch V8 now fitted, with Hedman Headers, Edelbrock intake and carburetor,Mopar performance distributor and alloy valve covers. Chrome air filter. Approx400HP. Consoleshift 727 Torqueflite transmission and 'Suregrip' limited slip rear axle.
Performance suspension, including uprated shocks, torsion bars and stiffer anti-roll bars.Lowered 2 inches all round. Uprated brakes, converted from non-servo drums allround to Cross-drilled and vented 11 inch discs and Wilwood four pot calipers,with large capacity master cylinder and servo and adjustable bias valve.
Interior restored using all new materials. New headliner and carpet, restored consoleand dash. Recaro front seats upholstered in '1969' style pattern. New seatbelts. TVR Chimera steering wheel. New door panels and handles. Remote centrallocking installed.
